Periodic Wave Shock solutions of Burgers equations
In this paper we investigate the exact peroidic wave shock solutions of the Burgers equations. Our purpose is to describe the asymptotic behavior of the solution in the cauchy problem for viscid equation with small parametr ε and to discuss in particular the case of periodic wave shock. We show that the solution of this problem approaches the shock type solution for the cauchy problem of the in...
متن کاملGlobal Weak Entropy Solutions to Quasilinear Wave Equations of Klein{gordon and Sine{gordon Type
We establish the existence of global Lipschitz continuous weak entropy solutions to the Cauchy problem for a class of quasilinear wave equations with an external positional force. We prove the consistency and the convergence of uniformly bounded nite{diierence fractional step approximations. Therefore the uniform bound is shown to hold for globally Lipschitz continuous external forces.
متن کاملGlobal Structure and Asymptotic Behavior of Weak Solutions to Flood Wave Equations
The present paper concerns with the global structure and asymptotic behavior of the discontinuous solutions to flood wave equations. By solving a free boundary problem, we first obtain the global structure and large time behavior of the weak solutions containing two shock waves. For the Cauchy problem with a class of initial data, we use Glimm scheme to obtain a uniform BV estimate both with re...
متن کاملExact solutions for wave-like equations by differential transform method
Differential transform method has been applied to solve many functional equations so far. In this article, we have used this method to solve wave-like equations. Differential transform method is capable of reducing the size of computational work. Exact solutions can also be achieved by the known forms of the series solutions. Some examples are prepared to show theefficiency and simplicity of th...
متن کاملApproximations of Very Weak Solutions to Boundary-Value Problems
Standard weak solutions to the Poisson problem on a bounded domain have squareintegrable derivatives, which limits the admissible regularity of inhomogeneous data. The concept of solution may be further weakened in order to define solutions when data is rough, such as for inhomogeneous Dirichlet data that is only square-integrable over the boundary. Such very weak solutions satisfy a nonstandar...
